Malinda Biesinger, LCSW

 

HONOR: Yourself

Malinda Biesinger, known to her clients as Mandi, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW69170) who specializes in treating children and adolescents ages 2-18 and their family members. Mandi believes in honoring the strengths of the client and building on what is already working for the client and their family. Mandi, like Dr. Mihalas, also uses a combination of “evidence-based” and long-term treatment interventions and theories to help clients make the desired changes in their lives.

 

HONOR: Individuality

Mandi feels it is an honor to get to know the families she works with and to be a part of their journey of growth. She believes strongly in the power of relationships and helps clients learn about how their attachment style affects their behaviors.

 

Mandi graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She has worked in various settings and levels of care including hospitals, inpatient, intensive outpatient and general outpatient practice. Mandi works with clients experiencing various challenges some of which include, trauma, attachment, change in family system, grief, development, adoption, crisis intervention, emotional distress and school problems.

HONOR: Growth

Having started her therapeutic career working with adults, she recognizes the importance of helping parents address their own struggles and loves to balance child and adult work to help the whole family move forward. She also has training working with adults and adolescents struggling with trauma, self-harm, and complex comorbidities.

 

Mandi is incredibly excited to be joining Dr. Mihalas and The Center for Well Being team and is looking forward to building relationships with new clients and their families.
