Lectures and Inservices

The Center staff are experts in dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; as well as acute and prolonged grief, stress, and trauma responses in children, teens, adults, and organizations. We can provide support regarding reactions to natural disasters, unexpected crises such as violence in schools, medical traumas for children, and suicide in the community.
Providing service to the community is an important part of the mission of The Center. We volunteer by providing pro bono and reduced-fee lectures to schools, religious institutions and community organizations. Examples of lectures may include: parent-child relationships, navigating the school environment, dealing with a traumatic event, sibling rivalry, and bullying.

We provide school training related to teacher and administrative burn-out, bullying support and education, best practices in teacher observation, and playground supervision.

Community Support

The Center periodically runs donations, drives, and community-based activities to support the local needs of the community.
We frequently provide consultation, short-term, and long-term mentoring as a pro bono service to undergraduate, graduate, and fellows in a variety of disciplines as our way to give back to burgeoning clinicians.
