WHO WE ARE

We Are Unique

This is not just a job for us, it is a way of being. This is a choice we have made to be with our clients instead of at home, at the beach, or drinking a latte. We love what we do and we have a passion for making an impact. There is a felt-sense in the room that we want to do this with you.

We have a combined experience of over 20 years.

We aren’t stuffy and we don’t believe in pretense.

We take things seriously but we like to laugh with you.

We will tell you what we think but recognize you have the agency to make your own decisions.

We provide a level of care that is unparalleled — we are prompt, fast, and uncannily attentive.

Give us a call, you’ll see.

Dr. Mihalas is a board certified psychologist. Less than 3% of psychologists in the state of California are board certified; positioning her with an additional level of certification and merit. Dr. Mihalas chose to sit for board certification to ensure she exceeded industry standards for her patients.

We have traveled, we have suffered, and we have lived. We have experienced hardships and traumas big and small. We also know the joys of life like the birth of a child and embracing a mindful moment watching the waves break in the Mediterranean. One of us matriculated through the Santa Monica Schools, the other knows what it feels like to be a transplant.

We “get it.”

We see you.

We hear you.

We feel with you.

Stephanie Mihalas PhD ABPP

There are moments in your life where something hits you and there is no going back. I have had many of them in my life which allows me to be a real-life, hard knocks therapist with you in the room. I am not going to sit on the couch across from you and “mmm hhhh” you in our session. I am going to roll up my sleeves, get down and dirty, and figure out a way to make a real meaningful difference in either your life, your child’s life, or your family’s life.
